DESCRIPTION

This underground cable wire locator NF816L is designed to locate and trace low voltage cables buried and hidden wires underground such as for garden lightning systems and landscape automatic watering systems. It can also be used to trace other metal cables either underground or in-wall wires. The detection depth range is 60cm (2 feet) and the maximum cable length is 600M (2000 feet). 

Note: When to find the break point of the wire, it works on single-core or double-core in parallel, NOT multi-core wires, because of the interference between the cores! It works on the multi-core wire when do the tracing. And it is mainly to locate non-energized cables, or low-voltage less than 24V.

How to Connect?

• Connect the transmitter to the wire and turn it on. Red alligator clip for the signal, black clip can be connected to ground or neutral or unloaded. 
• Turn on the receiver
• Hang the antenna of the receiver on the ground and swing it back and forth
• When the breakpoint is reached, the tone will weaken and then disappear. The tone will disappear when it is directly above the breakpoint.
